Our sightings map is not only to log reports, it is also to help others know if sightings have occurred in a particular area. 

Recently, someone noticed a UFO sighting in an area where they also saw something. What follows is our email exchange and her report.

 She writes:

"I apologize now if this is kind of long but, I just recently discovered the cryptid map on google maps and was thrilled.
I decided to peek over at the FL sightings (since I am from FL and saw a UFO myself in the Ocala National Forest) and I noticed that one of the sightings you had recorded was from 2012 as well, a different location in FL than where I was at the time, but I am still curious now if it could have been the same UFO I saw one night." 

[TM - The sighting she is talking about was in Zellwood, FL, which is about 1 hour and a half drive from Ocala National Forest.]

 

She continues.

 

"My story goes as follows.
February of 2012 my boyfriend at the time and I, my best friend and her boyfriend at the time, all decided we wanted to go to The Rainbow Gathering as they were in the Ocala National Forest at the time and we had never been, but had some hippie friends tell us about it so we wanted to experience it for ourselves. 

One night after a hike around Hopkins Prairie area, I was laying in my tent trying to sleep, watching the stars. (One of those mesh top tents) anyway, I noticed off right above the tree line...3 slightly than larger star shaped lights moving... as if there was an invisible man juggling them? And then they all combined up into one light and shot into the sky.
Of course I was the only person at the time awake, and it had happened so quickly that I honestly didn't know what to do other than sit straight up in disbelief wondering if my eyes were playing tricks on me."

 

At this point I as her if there was any sounds associated with the sighting.

Her reply was "Not that I can recall, but it also seemed pretty far off in the distance.
Like, I actually thought I was just looking at some stars at first before the movements because the lights were * just * bigger than the stars."

I want to thank Nicole for contacting me and telling us about her sighting. It is also very possible that the same UFOs visit an area repeatedly over many years.
