Not Your Photo
This post is about two things : One - a photograph of an alleged bigfoot that keeps making the rounds; Two - people who take photos and try to pass them off as something either new, or theirs, or their neighbors, or a friend of a friend's . . . well, you get my meaning.
The photograph I'm sharing today has crossed my laptop a couple of times. And then showed up just recently in a couple other places. Then it showed up as a pending post for our group. As allegedly coming from a friend's trail cam. The member was messaged for more information about this photo, for after all, it might be possible that his friend is the original source of the photo. [Don't sneer at me. Stranger things have happened, people.] There has been no response as of yet. And so I go ahead with this post anyway.
This photo has appeared in many places since it's apparent debut in a photo contest. It was created by the man behind Wisconsin Art who works for Dreamtime. He will tell you if asked that it is a real photo but will not disclose just how many photos were used to create this one. Yes, it is photoshopped. Not real. Not a bigfoot.
This has cropped up in various groups, shared by various people, some probably serious, some as a joke, some hoaxing. I don't pretend to know what's in their hearts. It has been said to be from a trail cam in Alabama, Virginia, West Virginia, and probably more.
It also appears as the photo for a joke created through a prank website. [Create a joke headline to prank your friends] Captioned : "On July 6 - Local Belmont campers camping in tent in Belmont, New Hampshire spotted what they believed was Bigfoot."
It's been listed on Pinterest.com 1000+ images about Bigfoot] and Pinterest.co.uk [344 best Bigfoot images on Pinterest]. It's been seen in various compilations of bigfoot photos titled with such fun names as "Scary things caught on camera . . . ". Howto101 used it on You.Tube in 2014 and FastFriday'sFacts also used it.
It was being passed around back in December, 2013 as from a trail cam in Alabama.
And now going around again. One of the ones I've seen :
Suffice to say, I think not.
On Dreamtime.com, they list it as "Royalty Free Stock image : Bigfoot captured on mobile cell phone camera". This is the photo that Wisconsin Art submitted for the photo contest.

Anyhow, people. Stop trying to be clever. Stop trying to be cute. Stop "pranking" your friends. It could get you removed and banned from every sasquatch/bigfoot/paranormal group that discovers your lack of taste.
