Is It Time To Scrap Darwinism?
A Controversial Question Of Humankind
By Dorraine Fisher

There are strange things going on in the human story. Anyone who’s following new anthropological data that’s being reported around the world has to admit that the story is getting stranger and stranger the more scientists keep digging. And there are some that believe this is shooting a lot of holes in Darwin’s theory of evolution. The math and the fossil records just don’t seem to support the theory.
To preface this, evolution is not fact. That’s why they call it a theory. Just because an idea is widely supported and largely believed to be substantiated by science still doesn’t make it a fact.
And also I have to add that I am not a Christian. So I have no religious agenda to try to obliterate Darwin and the theory of evolution over my personal spiritual beliefs. Just because someone refutes Darwinism doesn’t mean they must be Christian. But many people I’ve observed, if they aren’t Christians, seem to think they need to believe in evolution as some kind of logical alternative choice. Atheists often choose to aspire to the theory of evolution simply because they believe it to be the one good anti-religious route to take, even if they really haven’t given it much thought or educated themselves on the details. They think that siding with science makes them SEEM more logical and therefore least likely to be ridiculed. And no one wants to be ridiculed. Right? Well, here’s a newsflash: if someone abandons the theory of evolution, that doesn’t mean they have to turn to Christianity for the answer. Since when is it logical to aspire to one of only two sides of any argument? Can’t we “evolve” and think for ourselves? Can’t we acquire information on our own and come to our own conclusions?

Because what if science is wrong? Yes, you read that right. What if science is wrong? I hate to bring this up, but science has often been wrong throughout history and will often be wrong for many years to come. But it’s not a good thing in science to be wrong, so scientists will maintain their theories are right until they come up with a better one. And the problem with the human origins question is that science hasn’t come up with a better theory to explain itself in these nearly 200 years. Yes, it was in 1831 when Darwin began to formulate this theory. And science is still clinging to it in light of a lot of compelling opposition.

Why?

Because it has nothing else? Or, after all these years, too much time and effort has been expended on it to just abandon it? Or maybe it’s because of money. Scientists need funding to continue their research. And the funds simply don’t come in if scientists don’t have a seemingly solid foundation to present to their donors for their research. So the Theory of Evolution gives them something seemingly tangible to lay the groundwork.

But the problem with all this is they really DON’T know, and they have no other explanation for our strange origins. Though the one little glitch in the theory is that the fossil record simply doesn’t support it. There are just WAY too many huge gaps in the progression of the human story. That search for the missing link may be unraveling as we speak. Because they’re realizing that the missing link they’ve been searching for isn’t just one bit of evidence. There may need to be hundreds or even thousands of missing links. And there are not nearly enough similarities between apes and humans proved yet to justify the theory. And it doesn’t explain the evolutionary quantum leap humans made about 200,000 years ago, and seemingly out of nowhere, in an amazingly short time, became a dominant, superior force on the planet rocketing to the moon. Evolution just doesn’t explain that detail satisfactorily.

And, let’s be real, here. The objective of the scientific community is never to make a determination about something and then try to find evidence revolving around that predetermination. But ever since Darwin came out with his book The Origin Of Species, scientists have appeared to be doing just that: trying to find evidence revolving around the pre-determined idea of evolution. It really appears they’ve been breaking their own rule.

Am I an enemy of science? Not at all. Quite the contrary. I’m a purveyor of truthfinding...even if people don’t like it or want to hear it. And I don’t like watching science failing to question itself, toiling, and unwilling to let go of old ideas and make way for where the evidence actually takes it, even if it doesn’t fit current paradigms.

Of course it’s easy to understand the scientific community has invested a lot of time and effort into this theory. So many books, papers, and articles written; university educational programs revolving around it. So much blood and sweat and infighting. Imagine how hard it would be for them to suddenly feel the need to scrap it all and start all over, and rewrite every history book and college text book. It would be easy to imagine them being reluctant to do this.
But maybe they need to do this. Because how in the world can we possibly REALLY evolve as a species if we can’t learn and perhaps re-learn what we need to know?

And I’ll admit, as much as I’m not a Christian, I’m not a scientist either. So, you don’t have to take my word for anything. But just watch Dr. David Berlinski, a molecular biologist from Columbia University, and non-Christian, with a whole host of other highly impressive credentials explain it to you instead.

And I can’t even begin to imagine what kind of implications scrapping this theory would have on the idea of a yet uncorroborated species and possibly a human relative such as sasquatches. That’s
when we need to get out the popcorn and watch what happens.
