In this episode of the Crypto Files, we take a look at the long history of the lake monster known as Bessie. This unknown and unusual creature is said to inhabit Lake Erie. The way the creature is often described leads many to think it is very similar to Loch Ness Monster.

An original reward of $5,000 was offered for the capture of Bessie. That reward was later upped to $100,000 and was offered by Thomas Solberg of Huron Lagoons Marina.

The overall size of Bessie varies by description, but some witnesses report seeing the beast for up to 45 minutes.

Another interesting fact is that Lake Erie is also home to a lot of UFOs reports. Many fishermen and lake goers report seeing unusual lights in the sky.
