Length of Sighting: 35 seconds
How many Witnesses: 1
Any Photos/Videos: no
Describe sighting in detail:
I was standing on the front porch of my house looking westward when I noticed a small object that was black. It was small at first in the sky, heading towards me. I kept watching as it got bigger and bigger I said said to myself what is it?? Trying to figure out what it could be at first!
I thought it was a remote-controlled flying plane but it kept getting bigger and bigger. It was getting closer. It was soaring towards me then it soared right over the townhouse rooftops.
It was old and ugly. It had a bent beak a big white crest bone behind its head an it had lots bald areas.
The skin was a toffee color and black and grayish white mix patchy feathers were ruffled an bulky. It made no noise. I couldn't believe what I was looking at. All I could think was holy cow! It wasn't a pterodactyl but I knew it was looking like something prehistoric. It was thicker an bigger. It soared and never flapped its wings from the time it was tiny in the sky, until when it soared pass me and above the town homes. Length around 4 rooftops long. It was gigantic. I was pretty shook up!
I'll never forget what I witnessed.
Follow up questions (Originally, Gordon, left the year off the report.)
What year was this and how wide was the wingspan?
1999 wing span was long around 30 feet across!!

This makes several reports that have come out of Canada about very large unknown birds. If you view our Sightings Map, it seems most of the possible Thunderbird sightings come from the Northern part of the USA and the Canadian border.
Thanks go to Gordon for sharing this sighting.
Thanks
~Tom~
