I finally took a little time and did a little research about the photo above. I had seen it for years but didn't really know much about it. Thanks to Dr. Meldrum a couple other photos were released of this thing. So I threw it all together into a short video. Here is the video -
Here is what little background info I could find about this photo and a couple of enhancements.
Background info - This photo was taken by a hidden camera at Moyie Springs, Northern Idaho. The property owner had noticed tracks a few weeks earlier and set the camera up. The Bigfoot in the top photo is said to have taken a big bite out of the tree on the left. The best date I could find for this was 1976.
Zoom in on the Bigfoot and some color adjustments.
Second photo of the subject. I have cropped and zoomed it in a little.
I hope this helps shed some light on this somewhat popular photo. I think it is pretty clear that this is a hoax. For more information, please watch the above video.
Thanks
~Tom~

Thomas, Here's some information to add to you data base. While the use of Closed Circuit TV was available in 1976, Trail Cameras didn't existthem. They were invented in the early 1980's at Missouri State University by Master's Degree candidates who were looking at ways to study whitetail deer behavior. The first mass produced Trail Cameras were Trailmaster, CamTrakkar, and Cuddeback.
Thomas, Here's some more information to add to your notes. Photoshop and Photoshop like programs were not developed until 1987. The first version of Adobe Photoshop was released in 1987.
