"Bigfoot in the forest" by dredfunn

Monsters Everywhere

There seems to be a growing desire by "researchers" and "documentaries" to label all bigfoot and all sasquatch as monsters.

Every publicized report seems to have "monster" in the title and they emphasis how frightened the witnesses were. Even if they weren't.

The alleged "documentaries" are even worse.

One of the favorite topics right now is the Dyatlov Pass Incident in Russia back  in 1959.

The original "documentary" writers and producers cherry-picked the facts and manufactured the story of a yeti killing a group of hikers. [ Russian Yeti: The Killer Lives; Discover Channel, 2014]. They took a photo of one of the hikers emerging from a tree line and labeled it a photo of a yeti. They chose certain elements of the landscape and certain damages to the bodies and ascribed it all to a yeti attack.

And now more "documentaries" and TV series are being made mouthing the same lies and misconceptions.

And there are some series out there that take an actual encounter and then change and twist the event to create a "monster story". I've talked with some of the people who have shared their encounter stories with producers and writers of those shows. They regret doing so as their story is now forever misrepresented and misinterpreted.

It's sad.

But let's not just get irritated or angry over these travesties of truth. Let's do what we should always do. No matter the source.

RESEARCH THE STORY.

Ask others if they have sources if we can't find them.

Dig as deep as you can to discover what may have happened.

And keep an open mind.

There is what really happened.

And what is being reported.

Feed The Gods
Rated: Not Rated
Running Time: 85 minutes

Feed The Gods is an adventure/ horror film directed by Braden Croft. The film centers around two brothers who go searching for their biological parents after their guardian suffers a stroke and passes away. The two brothers are alerted to the possible whereabouts of their actual parents via a video tape.

It just so happens the little town in which the bothers parents where living in has a history of Sasquatch sightings and activity. Once the brothers and a girlfriend arrive in the town they discover that the town is almost a ghost town. The town folks, what few of them there are, are really strange and weird acting.

This film was shot in Canada and as we all know, Canada has beautiful wilderness and a history of Bigfoot sightings.

So far, it's sounding pretty good ...right? Well, the plotline is decent enough, the acting is decent enough, the location is spot on, the Sasquatch figure looks fair (Once you see it), but this movie just turns out to be a disappointment.

Once, again the Sasquatch are portrayed as murderous monsters but in this sleepy town they really have a lot of help. The movie is dark and rather slow moving but if you can stay interested to about half way the pieces start to fall together. It's still not enough to save the film but at least you get the bigger picture.

For Bigfoot fans, the film just does not focus on the Bigfoot element enough and you just do not get to see the Bigfoot until the movie is almost over. Even once you see the creature, it is very brief or blurred on purpose.

So with all that said, I just can not recommend this movie unless you are just really in a mood to watch a bad horror movie. I say, "Let the Gods go hungry."
