Over the past few days, I have been emailing with a woman who wishes to have her information remain private. 

Her report is very interesting and could very well be a bigfoot. The report includes a brief sighting and some odd sounds around her home. 

Here is her story and some of our email exchanges.

Her: We moved in April 2021, one night my son, a friend and I were sitting on my porch around 11:30pm after unloading my car. We saw a tall dark shadow run across my backyard, it was about 8ft tall. I live outside the county line and have lots of woods around me. 

Last night we heard the weirdest thing, it sounded like someone beating on a tree with a large stick around 10:30pm. 

Have there been any more cases around Harrisonville that you guys are aware of?

Me: What state and county was this in?

Were there any sounds made by the creature you saw? About how long did you see it? 

What kind of distance did it cover...how wide is your backyard?

Was there any bad smell?

Have you had any other odd things happen?

Her: The night we saw a shadow, we were about 15 yards away. It was quick, as soon as we saw it running through the yard we got up to look, and nothing. No one was living in the house we bought for a while. I have 3 acres with a lot of trees. We have walnut trees, apple trees, pear tree, and mulberry trees. Behind me is my neighbor's house but we are surrounded by a lot of woods and farmland. We have issues with coyotes, bobcats, and a sighting of a mountain lion that got a neighbor's dog. There are a few abandoned farms around here.

First several months we would hear a strange noise like high pitch howling, it was spooky. I thought we had a paranormal issue because of the sound. Once in a while, you would still hear it, it's a very chilling sound.

Setting up a trail cam, hopefully, I can get to bottom of the mystery. I did see on a website that had Bigfoot sightings map that couple of Bigfoot sightings were in Harrisonville, Mo. Never expected anything like this, I know we are in the countryside but didn't think we would encounter mountain lion much less bigfoot.

Me: If this is a bigfoot, I would say it is just getting some food from the trees. Most likely you are not in any danger from it. Thank you for the additional information and Please keep me posted on any new activity.

I went back and looked at our sightings map and we have some reported sightings to the south and east of Harrisonville, but they are a long way away.

If this property has been vacant for a little while, it could be that bigfoot and other critters have come accustomed to getting food from the area.  

If we get any more updates on this case I will update this post or make a new post.
