What's It Like? - Face To Face With Bigfoot
There's lots of talk in bigfoot group forums and anywhere that bigfoot enthusiasts gather. A question that never fails to come up: What would you do if you came face to face with a bigfoot? or the: What was the first thing you did, said, thought, etc. when you saw it?
Happens all time. It did for me just the other night. I was talking with fellow researcher, blogger and friend Leo. At some point or other in the conversation, Leo said as a joke: "I'm starting to tremble."
I flippantly replied: "Yeah, right. If a 7 ft hairy man can't scare you, I doubt a 5'4" midget lady could."
There was silence for a second, then the reply: "Wyatt was 8 foot 3 or so."
Me: "Proves my point."
And then the conversation turned serious. And into an impromptu interview.
Leo: "Not really. They all scared me over and over again."
Me: "I would think that it would be unnerving to have such a large creature near you -- not knowing what you might do that might upset it."
Leo: "You get more comfortable but it never goes away. There is no voice communication. So aside from the look and size, it is scary."
Me: "This is what I consider honest talk about encounters."
We continued to talk for a bit about other people's encounters and those who say they live along side bigfoot clans and interact on a daily, familar basis and those who talk of being terrorized by families of bigfoot on their property.
I expressed how hard it was for me to sometimes come to terms with this type of reported encounter. It is difficult, without experiencing it yourself, to understand and believe in clan cultures and initimate interaction with creatures like sasquatch.
Me: "I can get proceeding with caution, with trepidation, but with a desire to interact."
Leo: "I have a hard time with it too. I'm not there so I can't say it doesn't happen ..... I know with Wyatt that he would come to the edge of the field and look up at the gifting area and then back at me. That was his 'thank you'."
Me: "That sounds normal, an acknowledgment of the gift, and acknowledging it was from you. And actually a believable amazing display of trust from him; allowing you to see him and his family as they took the gifts. Especially to see the young ones."
I then added: "This type of account I can take and believe. Simple. Honest. With a good timeline of how it all happened. Not an overnight miracle. Time and patience. Gaining trust."
Leo: "It's never overnight. It is letting them see you and your intention."
Everyone's experience is different and unique. Individual. And something never to be forgotten in it's impact on your life. Nuff said.
Thanks to Leo for allowing me to share our conversation. For more on his encounters, check his posts on this blog where he discusses in detail his encounters with Wyatt and other bigfoot.

I'm a "big, bad, 60-yr-old outdoorsperson" who has seen and encountered a lot of stuff outdoors in my lifetime.
ReplyDeleteBut I know that if I am ever close to a big bigfoot, my lifelong gifts of bladder and bowel continence may come to an abrupt end right there on the spot.
I have walked up to an 8-foot-tall, 4-foot-wide wooden cutout of a bigfoot that someone made, and let's just say that it had a "profound effect on me". I uncontrollably trembled for a minute or two before it wore off, just peering up at the lifeless wooden effigy. Then I walked over to the nearby basketball goal whose rim was 10 feet off the ground. I peered over to the 8-foot wooden bigfoot, then looked back at the basketball rim to try to envision what a huge 10-foot-tall male bigfoot would look like.
My God, please help me! What a beast of flesh, hair, muscle, and raw power such a creature is. My nervous system went even wilder at that point.
I'd love to get a good look at a bigfoot in the outdoors. But I believe I'd like for there to be a reasonable distance between the two of us. And I'm thinking that I'd rather the beast be unaware of my presence and thus doesn't look at me!
