Possible Dogman Sighting

Here in my little area of Kentucky, we don't get very many dogman reports. This following report comes from our neighboring state of Virginia. The terrain in Virginia is very much like here in Kentucky with lots of mountains, trees and water sources. Which would seem to be an idea place for almost any creature out there.

I got this particular report in a few days ago but I was out of town, so I'm just now getting time to post it. Was this a Dogman? or something else?

Describe sighting in detail:

This is my wife’s sighting; it’s August 2021 and she has shared with me an encounter that I had not known about, it took her quite a few years to share. She did not say anything because in her thoughts “would I believe her” or “was it real?” state of mind.  So the more we dove into cryptids, she opened up about an experience she had in 2013.

The sighting took place in Virginia Beach, VA near NAS Oceana (36.8041201, -76.0049495) approx May/June 2013. Traveling southbound on Oceana Blvd heading to Dam Neck Annex around 0530-0600 right past what was the Oceana Horse stables and right before the entry road to NAS Oceana main gate.

She described the figure as a long creature with a canine muzzle, humanoid torso, long slender toned humanoid arms and hands, the legs were canine (bent backwards).  The creature came from the east side where it is wooded crossing going and oncoming roads in front of her car in a few bounds she remembers, once it reached the grass it stood on its hind legs and cleared the fence.  When she saw the creature stretched in front of her vehicle it nearly reached the width of both lanes. Two lanes of oncoming, a small median and two lanes of outgoing traffic, when it stood on its hind legs she says it was hard to say the height as it was hunched over and leaped the fence and darted off into NAS Oceana.  

One of the details she clearly remembers is the hair/fur, very short grayish/ashen color and could see the skin/body underneath, it was slender but with very high muscular definition and no tail that she remembers.  She also noted that when the encounter happened it did startle her from something in front of her car, however; did not feel that fear or negative vibrations from it.  Unfortunately there are no photos or other media of this encounter.

A thanks to Jose for submitting the report. We often run into cases where the witness is reluctant to tell people about something they saw. Many are concerned they will be made fun of or just not believed. I think sometimes, it is even hard for the witness to come to grips with what they saw. This is why, sometimes, it may take a few years for reports to come forward.
