Way back in 1974 at 4:00 in the afternoon, a Canadian housewife and mother named Dorothy Izzat saw a dancing light in the sky outside her guest room window. After dark that night, through her heavy drapes in the window, she saw another bright light that she thought was the moon at first, but she realized it couldn’t be the moon because it was wobbling.
She suddenly had the interesting idea to flash a flashlight out the window. She moved the light back and forth and was astounded that the light in the sky mimicked her movement with the flashlight. Little did she know that later that night she would be visited by three “men” who would explain to her what she was being given and what she was being shown. And their message about humanity was profoundly truthful in what we now understand about the mysteries of the world and how reality actually works. They told her of things that are common to hear about now but weren’t even discussed by people in the 1970’s.
Dorothy realized she needed to prove what she was seeing to others who thought she was hallucinating or mistaking what she was seeing, and she later acquired a movie camera. And the rest is history. Over a span of decades, she managed to film over three thousand feet of footage of mysterious lights and alien craft, as well as possible aliens.
But is the footage authentic?
Capturing The Light attempts to explain how Izzat’s often chilling footage has been exposed to a lot of scrutiny from many different critics over the years, and why many observers still believe it to be authentic. Izzat didn’t like the limelight and didn’t speak of this publicly very often. And she never attempted to profit from what she filmed.
I give this documentary five stars for it’s very thorough coverage of Izzat’s history and character, her family’s reaction to her footage and their opinions of it, and full coverage of attempts that have been made over the years to disprove it.
