What Personality Type Can Hone Psychic Ability?

Many people wonder if psychics have a common skill or ability, and many psychics might answer that this ability is that of intuition. The Myers-Brigg test, taken by 50 million people the world over, identifies 16 personality types, four of which are intuitive. While no studies have been undertaken on the predominance of one particular personality type in psychics, the ability to powerfully connect with others by listening to messages, comprehending symbols, and recognizing emotions runs deep in those dedicated to this complex art.
INFJs: Connecting The Inner World To The Future

The four Myer-Briggs personality types with an intuitive component are INFJ, INFP, ENFJ and ENFP. INFJs are introverted, intuitive, feeling and judging. They are often referred to as advocates or idealists because they are highly creative but also very sensitive to the emotions of others. INFJs like thinking about deep subjects such as psychic powers and philosophy, and they are able to focus on the future and how to find meaning in it. This is said to be one of the rarest personality types, yet it is also one of the most useful in terms of the qualities required for the psychic arts and sciences.

INFPs: Helping Others Find Their Best Selves

INFPS are introverted, feeling, perceiving, sensing types, often called ‘mediators.’ Because they are sensitive and flexible, they can adapt well to situations and change their tone and advice depending on the person they are talking to. It is easy to see how a psychic is an ultimate mediator between earthly and otherworldly or spiritual realms. They are in tune to what takes place within and without, and know the right way to communicate with those who turn to them in an assertive yet calm and kind manner.

ENFJs: The People Persons Of The Bunch

ENFJs are extroverts who are intuitive, feeling and judging. This is not to say that they judge others. The distinction between perceiving and judging simply refers to the former’s preference for ‘whim of the moment’ decisions, and the latter for following well-defined schedules and predetermined strategies. People with this personality type like to approach a reading or mediumship session with a predetermined, well-defined routine or strategy. They are great psychic entrepreneurs because they know how to organize, set goals, and set clear expectations for their employees or colleagues.

ENFPs: Championing People And Causes

Imagine the type of psychic that uses their gift to inspire change, lift downtrodden spirits, and make others feel great even in bad times. ENFPs have these gifts in abundance, since they love being with people and are empathetic and caring. They are also flexible, meaning they know how to adapt to a client’s needs and states quickly. They are also creative - an excellent quality to have if they enjoy using symbolic messages - for instance, those which can be obtained from tarot cards.

Psychics can be introverts or extroverts, but one quality they need to have to succeed is intuition. Psychics often have to read between the lines, apply symbols to real life, and be very much in tune with their client’s emotional and intellectual state. Doing so can enable them to make the kind of meaningful connection that is vital for awareness, change and growth.
