Bigfoot
Activity And Possible Sighting In Illinois?

It actually started a couple of months ago. An area of woods near me in central Illinois that I frequent due to the amount of wildlife I see there for my photography. As a bigfoot researcher of sorts, I had discovered minimal evidence a few years ago that there may have been bigfoot activity in that area, but I never found enough to make a very big deal out of it. So I opted to spend time out there for recreation and picture taking opportunities.
But a couple of months ago, that was August of 2018, things started to change there. On my drives through there, the trees seemed to get rearranged on a regular basis. Every time I drove through the area, I started noticing that trees were being manipulated and moved around.
And for a while, the hints were so subtle that they didn’t affect me much. Maybe it was human activity, I thought. Or maybe it was the wind. But over time, the “evidence” was becoming more obvious and I had to start making notes and taking pictures. And on the weekend of October 20, as I was driving through, I had the weirdest feeling as I drove down that same old road and realized what was happening. As if it had slapped me in the face.
It was around 7 AM when the sun was just rising on a fall day. I was driving through with my window open, trying to decide where I wanted to stop and walk. But I had a slightly creeped-out feeling for some unknown reason, when I saw something black out of the corner of my eye off in an open field of tall weeds just beyond the treeline. I had heard crows squawking in the distance and I thought that’s what it must be.. But I turned my head and thought I saw something very black pop up over the tops of the pale golden weeds. I stopped for a moment and reached for my camera, turning my head slightly, trying not to take my eyes off the spot, when I saw something pop up again for a split second. And it was possibly a few feet to one side of where it had popped up before. By that time, I was quickly trying to get the camera and the telephoto lens ready, when it popped up one more time back near its original spot. But, as is often the case with many observers of such phenomena, I wasn’t able to employ the camera quick enough. The figure never popped up again as I sat and watched for quite a long time with the camera ready. There had either been more than one black figure popping its head up or there was only one zigzagging through the weeds. And that dismissed the crow theory. Crows don’t fly in a zigzag pattern. I was watching to see if I could see any crows, but I only heard them in the distance, still squawking pretty loudly. Which I know, after many years of trudging through the woods, is an alarm system to other crows and inadvertently other creatures in the area, including humans if they know enough to utilize it.
After I got a grip on the idea of what I may have seen in the weeds, I started looking around me. It was broad daylight by then, and I started walking through the area. And I got a slightly sick feeling, only because I could see this “activity” had been going on a long time and I just hadn’t noticed it. I’d been too busy taking pictures of deer and birds in the trees that I had missed it entirely. What had I missed? Those woods were filled with evidence of some very strange activity. And this is activity associated with bigfoot, but I’m not going to tell anyone what to believe. Just check out my pictures of the “manipulated woods” and see what you think.
Two separate star configurations:
Square pattern with “divining rod” configuration or “wish bone” pattern in the center.
Knot configuration.
I observed that trees were laid lengthwise all going in the same direction for nearly 500 feet down a slope. It seemed to be a kind of barrier.
Two full-sized trees broken and laid the same direction. Nice and straight. This was probably done some time ago, but I had never seen it before. All in the same direction as the supposed barrier.
Another “divining rod” far above ground.
I noticed game cams in the area early in the season, but I originally thought they must have been for area surveillance. And I guess they were. Just surveillance of a different kind. This was one of three that I found in the area.
There’s a healthy deer population here. I’ve taken many pictures of them here over the years following families and life cycles.
In closing, I have to say that I didn’t find any footprints or other evidence. I looked around for prints everywhere around the structures. The only place I couldn’t look was where I had seen the figures in the weeds. That was private property under constant camera surveillance. But the ground in the entire area is very solid and dry. Not great for finding good prints. But you can bet I’ll keep my eye on this area from now on.

Central Illinois here! Green corridors run the from here to southern Illinois, where the wild things are. I've noticed twists and breaks in the woods here but nothing that would definitely amount to evidence of Bigfoot activity. I'm still looking for Thunderbirds by lake Shelbyville though.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great story. My question is this. Is the population of Bigfoot increasing through out the U S, with more and more sightings, and signs? Or were they always here and we just did not see, or notice the signs? I have spent many days out in the woods, and it's been only the last few years that I was made aware of signs, that they leave, and make. Just wondering.
