Over the years I have taken in several accounts of Bigfoot throwing rocks. I have also talked to several people, off the record, who reported events of Bigfoot throwing rocks. Most researchers understand that this is a known behavior associated with Bigfoot.
The interpretation of just what this behavior means my differ based on some factors.
I personally have never had rocks threw at me by a Bigfoot. Now when I was a kid, maybe into my teen, we would sometimes have rock fights for fun. Maybe that seems like an odd human behavior but we sure did it back in the day.
As for Bigfoot, there seems to be a couple different scenarios with it comes to rock throwing. There are many reports of Bigfoot throwing small pebbles at researchers or at people hiking. The general consensus seems to be that this behavior, of throwing very small stones, is more of a curiosity type of thing. That the Bigfoot are not out to hurt or injure the person and is perhaps just monitoring the reaction. It is also thought that on some occasion they will use the small pebbles to kind of move people out of an area. In most of these cases, of small pebbles being thrown, it is nothing that is overly aggressive. I'm sure for many people it is still very much frightful to have any size rocks flying in your direction from the woods. Many times the Bigfoot is not even seen but many know what is throwing the rocks.
Then there are reports of much larger rocks being thrown. Some of these reports describe the rocks to be bigger than a basketball. I have talked to one friend who was in a boat and these large basketball sized rocks come flying and splashing into the water. It would seem that these larger stones are of a more aggressive nature. That this is a stern warning to get out of the area. I would think most would heed this warning. Even thought most see these types of events as being more aggressive, I can't recall of anyone ever getting injured.
These larger rocks makes me wonder if a person has got too close to say the clan in general, or maybe too close to very young Bigfoot. Of course, most of this is all just speculation based on the witnesses and researchers I have talked to about this subject. We really don't know what is in the mind of a Bigfoot when these rock throwing event take place.
Here is one report of some hunters who encounter a Bigfoot and had rocks threw at them - Click Here!
There are other activities with rocks that are attributed to Bigfoot. Things like rocks stacks and rock clacking. Rock stacks are also done by hikers so this makes it harder to discern who actually made them. Some rock stacks are very large but it is important to realize that sometime Native American's stacked rocks in this manner. These large stack also were done by surveyors as a way to mark property. Here is a very good article about these rock stacks - Click Here!
Rock clacking is the report of Bigfoot beating two rocks together. There seems to be less of this reported.
Altogether, there are many things we think Bigfoot does, but we really don't understand all the details as to why they do it. Just add rock throwing, stacking and clacking to the list.
Now, if anyone has experienced Bigfoot rock throwing, I would sure like to hear about it and document it. Please use this link to report any such behavior or encounter - Click Here!
