Long before Todd Standing's film, Discovering Bigfoot, came out he was somewhat of a controversial figure in the bigfoot community. Now, that his film is out and it is fairly popular, the debate about the evidence he presents has once again become a hot topic. Many people think his variety of Sasquatch are real while others think it is just a hoax. Most of what is in the film has been available to view for a number of years. But it was all packaged with some new footage and formed into a documentary.
The film does have a couple of very well respected names attached to it. Namely, John Bindernagel, and Jeffrey Meldrum. Both are heavily respected in the filed of bigfoot and having them on board for the film is a major drawing point.
Of course, there are many who are still questioning and doubting the Standing film and footage.
With all of that said, I wanted to share a video by Michael Merchant. Merchant is also well respected by many in the bigfoot community. He is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience out in the forest. He offers some thoughts about Todd Standing and his evidence.

Of course no matter what, some people will support Standing and others will not. It is my opinion, by what I have seen in the video, that the creatures Standing presents are not of real Bigfoot. If others want to support him and find them to be real, that is up to them. I would recommend you check Standing out more before just buying into what he is presenting.
In closing, I would like to say I do not see an end to this debate anytime soon. I think there will always be a split between those who believe Todd and those who don't.

Standing is the real deal, even Wes and Woody have come around. There is no proof he hoaxed anything. Armchair researchers need to get out there with him and help, not criticize. I’ve seen two Bigfoot and one dogman in my life, I know they are real.
