All fans of our good friend and author Max Hawthorne know he’s a master of gripping sea monster fiction. He is, of course, the author of the Kronos Rising series: tales of hungry and terrifying creatures of the deep.

But is it all just fiction?


We have to wonder, because Max came to us recently with a sighting of what may very well be a real living sea monster, now called the Carnival Cruise Monster. This sighting was shared with him by one of his many followers who was working on a cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico a few years ago. And he’s been kind enough to share it with us.
