5 Ways To Remember Your Past Lives

So, maybe you’ve decided that maybe your soul really is eternal and doesn’t die, and maybe you have lived before, perhaps many times throughout history. But what do you do with that information. Is there a benefit to exploring it? And if so, how do you go about it?
And some may ask if we really have lived before, why can’t we remember anything about our past lives? The answer is we can, but there may be a thousand years of history there and many of us can’t remember much of our time in THIS life that goes back more than 30 years. A lot is forgotten with the passage of time. But we have bursts or flashbacks or moments of deja vu in which our past lives come back, even if only for a moment or two. We also have karmic dreams in which we recall a past experience or place we’ve lived or visited. The trouble is, we don’t always know we’re recalling a past life and we don’t give it much thought. But our past lives are revealed to us more often than we think.
And in all reality, it may be better for us in many ways if we don’t remember everything about our past lives. We all have enough emotional scars in THIS life. Recalling tragedies, humiliations, deceptions, disasters, betrayals, deaths, suicides, accidents, and all instances of horrible suffering of our past incarnations may be a serious emotional overload. Maybe the universe is being merciful in allowing us to forget many things.
But in the case of serious emotional problems in our current life, knowing why something happened or knowing why you feel a certain way in the present goes a long way in helping you heal emotionally. And the answers don’t always come from your current life. Or sometimes you get stuck in this life. And you can’t move forward due to so much emotional baggage that seems to have nothing to do with events in your childhood or anything in this life that you can recall. Some things simply don’t resolve through the standard psychiatric channels. And sometimes it’s emotionally crippling enough that you’re willing to try some unconventional methods in order to resolve it. This is where remembering some details about your past lives can be helpful. So here are some ways to explore your past lives and understand better who you are.
1.Try a past life regression therapist. Perhaps the best but also most expensive route to take to learn about your past lives. I would only recommend this avenue if you are having emotional issues in your present life that aren’t being resolved through standard therapy practices and are keeping you stuck in running in circles. It’s also often hard to find a past life regression therapist, but they are increasing in popularity and are growing in numbers. So don’t hesitate to check it out.
2.Experiment with self regression through self-hypnosis. I was skeptical about this method, but didn’t want to fork out the money for a professional with a problem that I couldn’t resolve. So I thought I had nothing to lose by trying self-hypnosis. I have now done it myself five times and been successful. It was easier than I thought it would be but it did require patience and concentration. There are many ways to approach this. Google “past life regression self-hypnosis” and you’ll find many different methods. The best thing is to try different ones until you find something that works for you.
3.Keep a journal of your dreams. Keep a blank notebook and pen and possibly a flashlight by your bed. If you wake up from a dream in the middle of the night, before you get up to go to the bathroom or do anything else, write down all the details of the dream that you remember. Dreams that take place in history in which people around you are in period dress are very significant. They may be recalling a memory of your past life. So don’t leave anything out when you write it all down. Places, seasons, landscape, shapes, possessions, people, animals, architecture, etc. are all relevant. Note how you feel in the dream. Are you happy or sad? Scared or secure? They may be important clues to problems you still live with in your current life.
4.Keep another notebook with all your findings of daily life that may indicate past life problems. Write everything down that you think might be significant. Do you identify with a certain culture of the world more than others? You may have lived there before in a past life. Are you terrified of horses? Perhaps you were killed in a horseback riding accident in a former life. Things like this are all significant. And when you think of them, just write them in the notebook. Eventually patterns will emerge and you’ll slowly start putting the pieces together of why you might be the way you are in this life. And you can always try other methods later in order to be more sure. But this will give you a foundation of what you’re dealing with.
5.Examine your beliefs. This is the hardest one of all. But our beliefs are not only influenced by what we were taught in THIS life, but they can’t be influenced subconsciously by events that took place in another life or beliefs that were instilled in us by people we trusted in a previous life. It can be hard to imagine that our beliefs are anything but the actual truth, but work toward identifying what you believe now and ask yourself why you believe it. You might be surprised by what you glean from this. Was it something in this life that made you this way, or do you believe this for reasons currently unknown to you? If you don’t know the reason, it could be an indication of influences from a past life experience. This is common with people with financial problems in this life. They find they may have taken religious vows of poverty in a past life and have an overall negative attitude toward money in this life, which in turn causes them constant financial difficulties. Often when the problem is identified from the past life, the person can resolve their problems with money in this life. Examining their belief about it and understanding why it happens is the magical formula in beginning to heal it.
So, there you have them. Just try to keep it all in perspective and don’t get too wrapped up in the details. But learning about the past that you’ve forgotten and confronting it, even though it can bring something uncomfortable to the surface, that’s actually the first step in resolving it forever. Knowing the whys of all the bad things in our lives actually makes them go away.
