I'm currently writing another book that deals with my time living in a house with paranormal activity. In doing some research about ghost activity, I ran across an interesting report. I was already aware of such reports of phantom telephone rings that many think come from a recently passed loved one.

It is not a far stretch to think that a spirit could make a telephone ring. After all, there is plenty of cases where spirits have caused K2 meters to light up, or unknown voices are captured on a recorder,  or some other device seems to be manipulated by an unseen entity.

There are even some cases of people hearing their passed love one speak on the line after a phantom phone call.

There is one case in particular where the person had a phantom voice left on their answering machine. Could the voice be from a phantom phone call from the dead?

The woman who has this recording of a possible phone call from the dead, is Lana. Here is what she said about it.

"We came home one weekend and this was on our answering machine....not sure what it is. If it's not an EVP I'm not going to worry about it. My mom passed away five years ago, and of course, I'd like to think it's her. I can almost make out it saying my name.....probably wishful thinking. I almost deleted it, but thought I'd check caller ID first. There were no calls from anyone we didn't know, and the one or two that did call left messages. It was unusual to me, because of the way the voice sounded. I've never received anything like that before. Plus, I got chill bumps when I first heard it, because it sounded so much like my name. That's got to mean something." 

So, Just who or what left the phantom voice? No one is for sure.
Listen closely to the recorded audio, as it sounds like a woman's voice saying, "Hey, Lanna" or "Hey, Lola."
