Are Scientists Acknowledging The Existence Of The Soul?

By Dorraine Fisher

After scoffing at the subject for many years, it seems that science is beginning to acknowledge the existence of the soul, however slowly.  But I talked about this subject way back in 2013, and at that time, I was convinced that science would absolutely HAVE to acknowledge the soul at some point, and here’s why.

If you’ve ever read anything about the works of the great scientist from the late 1800’s, Nikola Tesla, you will have read that everything in our world is all about energy. Energy is what drives everything. And learning as much as we can about energy is what will lead us to the truth about everything else. All the unanswered questions start with understanding how energy works. And this started me thinking about what drives us humans. What kind of energy drives us?

And what does this have to do with the soul?

When we think in terms of everything being energy, all the pieces start to fit. The ancients maintained that we that we all have a soul, but they didn’t explain it very well. It’s almost like they expected we already knew. And maybe we should. But maybe that explanation got lost somewhere and caused humans to be confused about it for centuries. But I’ve theorized for many years that our soul is actually our energy source. And that our body and soul work together as two separate organisms to make us work as one complete unit. An idea shared by some of us on the fringes, but that’s been totally rejected by mainstream science since science has existed.

But think about it. We all exude an energy, negative or positive. We gravitate toward things and people that exude similar energy and we’re repelled by energy that doesn’t match ours. The emotions we feel aren’t really emotions at all, but energy. Love is an energy. Hate is an energy. Our personalities are an energy. Everything we radiate and emanate, and our effect on those around us and our world are all energies. Our hopes, dreams, aspirations, insecurities, fears, and ambitions are all our energy.  And they are all of what the soul is comprised.  And if you know only a little science, you know that energy can’t be destroyed. It can only be changed.

So when physicists recently theorized that our soul doesn’t die but returns to the universe, I wasn’t at all surprised to hear they’d come to that conclusion. If the soul is indeed energy, it can’t possibly die. And some experts are now arguing that the physical universe as we see it is nothing more than our perception, So when your bodies die, that energy source, or our souls, have an infinite life in the universe, or “God,” if that’s what you like to call it. When we think about all of it as energy, whatever name we give it, it all makes a lot more sense. Maybe the ancients just didn’t or couldn’t explain it in that way. Maybe they all told the story the best way they could.

But many scientists now acknowledge consciousness as a real thing, even if they can’t precisely explain it. Which, to me, is a huge leap forward. I personally believe that science’s ability to acknowledge the non-physical aspects of our world is a really big deal and, dare I say, the ushering in of a new age in science.

British scientist, Sir Roger Penrose explains consciousness as a “packet of information stored at the quantum or subatomic level.”  He claims he has discovered evidence that this information is stored in microtubules in human cells and actually leaves the body when we die.

And he also explained that when a person dies temporarily, as in a near-death experience, this information is released into the universe only to be returned to the body when it’s brought back to life.

And this theory is gaining steam around the world with other scientists as well. So what are the implications? They are more and larger than we can really imagine right now. But let’s try.

It explains the insistence of ancient knowledge that a soul really exists. It explains how the soul really is an energy source. It  also explains thousands of near-death experiences that different people have reported around the world for centuries. And...this is a big one: It explains a certain aspect of a supposed spiritual realm in scientific terms that many people have always believe existed but couldn’t substantially prove.. Science has denied a spiritual realm for years, but I’ve often thought that they’re not looking in the right places, or from the right angles. I’m not the most religious person in the world, but I am somewhat spiritual for this very reason. I and many others have said that science and spirit are not that far apart, and it seems this may be proving truer every day. Exploring non-physical aspects of the universe is causing a huge shift in the way we acquire knowledge. And ultimately changing everything we know.

So, in the immortal words of Rod Serling, host of the iconic TV show, The Twilight Zone, “Imagine if you will…”

If science can now theorize that the soul really does exist, then what else have humans been scoffing at for centuries that could also be just as real? Hmmm.

  1. Hello Dorraine.

I wanted to commend you for another great article. I totally agree with everything you said. Some times scientists are not always that intelligent and it takes them awhile for them to open their eyes to see what most people have known for centuries that there is a unity to both body, and soul ( energy). Keep up the great articles!!
