Humans love animals. We know that our pets and farm animals have special significance in our lives. But what we don’t often think about is that animals play a key role in our existence for many reasons. Like it or not, we ourselves are animals and our connection to that world is still strong. For thousands upon thousands of years, animals have been an extension of us and they appear everywhere in our spirituality and symbolism. We’ve called upon them to summon strength when we needed, and wisdom. They hold a special place in our psyche that goes back to the beginning of time.
