A mysterious, towering creature reportedly spotted in rural Kentucky became the subject of multiple eyewitness accounts in 2011. Dubbed the "Geneva Giant," the unidentified figure was described as standing seven to eight feet tall and covered in long, black hair.

One of the most startling encounters was reported by Jason Skaggs, who claimed to have seen the creature while riding his motorcycle along Trigg Turner Road in Geneva, Kentucky, on July 18, 2011.

According to Skaggs, the creature suddenly crossed the roadway directly in front of him.

"It crossed the road, from left to right, in 2 or 3 steps," Skaggs recalled.

What happened next was particularly unsettling. Rather than disappearing into the surrounding woods, the creature reportedly stopped just beyond the roadway and remained standing.

Skaggs wasted little time getting away.

"I just gunned it and drove by as fast as I could on the other side of the road," he explained.

However, this was not the first reported encounter with the mysterious figure.

Several months earlier, around March 12, 2011, two young boys were reportedly fishing at a nearby pond when they experienced something they would not soon forget.

One of the boys, 12-year-old Kaleb, stated that they heard an unusual noise coming from the opposite side of the pond. When he looked toward the sound, he reportedly saw a large, upright, hair-covered figure standing across the water.

Kaleb estimated that the creature stood between seven and eight feet tall and was covered in long, black fur.

The descriptions raised an intriguing question: Could both encounters have involved the same unidentified creature?

Although neither sighting established what the witnesses actually encountered, the reports added to Kentucky's long history of alleged Bigfoot activity.

From a quiet fishing pond to a sudden encounter along a rural roadway, the stories surrounding the Geneva Giant remain an interesting chapter in the region's unexplained folklore.
