Interesting thoughts and theories can be formed when getting together with fellow researchers.

For example, in a recent get-together, someone ventured the comment about seeing a "new" face in their research area. It took a few seconds, then I noticed several others silently nod.

It seems that for some reason there appear to be more sasquatch in the research areas than before. Among the newcomers are females who appear to be pregnant and really young ones, even possibly newborns.

Along with the viewing of these newcomers, were scattered other signs. There were new structures and new tree breaks. There were renewed senses of "creepiness", feelings of being watched, and sounds of being followed. Footsteps and wood knocks, especially when knocking rarely occurred. And sometimes a glimpse of something dark in the shadows of the trees and bushes.

What can all these 'signs' mean? What is happening in the woods? There are no answers. We have only theories and conjectures.

What if those who claim to have seen clans have actually caught glimpses of a "gathering".  A time when several families of sasquatch come together as an extended family when the females become pregnant and there are young ones? That they join together to better provide for the females and the young and perhaps to celebrate the new lives?

Maybe those are the times we are made to feel unwelcome -- that we are "charged at", and have things thrown at us aggressively? Because we come too close to their more "vulnerable members"?

So yes, we could say they are living in a clan, but perhaps a temporary one:  a clan gathering.  Perhaps not only to protect and provide but to conduct a "census" of sasquatch.
