Possible RAKE Sightings
I got the following email report in a few days ago. Now let me be clear I don't know a whole big lot about the RAKE and I'm assuming some of our readers don't either.
The Rake is a creature believed to be a humanoid in appearance, with several references in folklore and horrific urban legends, originally appearing on the internet on Creepypasta. The creature reportedly attacks humans due to unknown reasons and often causes its victims great psychological trauma.
It was always my understanding that the Creepypasta website was just a home for made up stories with no truth to them. But it appears that people are actually seeing something, whether its a Rake or not, that is very similar to what is described as a Rake.
With that said below is the sighting reports submitted by the witness, along with some pictures.

Hello!
I stumbled across your website and figured I should share my story with you.
Location: Forest Lake, MN
First
time I ever heard about this creature being in my old hometown I was a
little skeptical. Not that I didn't believe in the creature, more like I
didn't believe it could actually be in my hometown.
The first time I saw
this creature I was with one of my good friends and it was around
2016-17. It was about 2-3 in the morning and we were walking home
because it was storming and we were at one of our other friends house.
We were a little intoxicated but not enough too be completely out of it.
We got to a certain road where there was construction in which my
friend pointed out to my left, the creature was crouched down under a
street light.
I thought he was joking at first and believed it was a
traffic cone, which led me too yelling at it too see if his statement
was true. What happened next was the creature lifted its head and
looked dead at us. We didn't stay long enough to see much further as it
got up and started coming toward us very quickly, which led us into
running.
My friend stopped a ways down to look back and stare at it a
little more,I had to stop and yell at him to continue coming with me,
later he said the reason he stopped was because the creature stopped as
well but continued to chase after seeing my friend stop.
We
continued running until we made it back too his house. That was just one
of the times I've came across this creature. There was another night I
was at another friends house and had to leave around the same time as
the last incident and the creature followed me having great ability too
hop thru trees and making a very distinct growl that is not like any
other animal sound. Sounds like a mix of a wolf and a human growl if I
had too guess.
It would lay back when I yelled at the creature but it
still followed me from a block from my house but stayed farther back
after me yelling. This encounter was around 2017.
My second to last
encounter I have had with the creature was just last year in 2020 when I
was staying with my friend from the first encounter. I was with my
girlfriend and his as well. Me and my friend were explaining to them
about our first encounter and they didn't believe us. So we figured since
it was around 1-2 am we would go look for it and hopefully show them
that this was real.
We brought them to the same area and the area it
was most seen at (which I will provide pictures of all encounters.) This
time we went to a water tower with woods behind it, which was the area
where its been seen the most times by other people we had talk too. We
started walking towards the tower and right away saw eyes in the far
edge of the woods which we assumed was a deer. We kept on getting closer
and closer until we got to an area where it was very bushy and it was
right before entering the woods.
Me, my friend and girlfriend all heard
rustling so we looked over to the area and right there in the bushes
was glowing eyes and the distinct growl I heard from the other
encounter. Thats when we all screamed and started running back too the
car. This time I stopped a little bit from the water tower to look for
it which upon turning around, saw the eyes peaking from the area of the
water tower.
I was determined to get a picture but as my friend yelled
to me to get back to the car, it disappeared. So I ran back got into
the car and left.
Sorry for such a long email but this is my final
encounter.
Me and my girlfriend this time were with another one of my
friends and was telling him about the last time we went there. He
believed us and actually really wanted to go see it and so did I. My
girlfriend reluctantly said yes so we drove to the water tower. We all
got out and in similar fashion started walking up to the water tower.
But this time we saw the eyes almost immediately and we stopped because I
knew what it was leading to. So I just pointed it out too him. As I was (pointing it out)
the creature must have got startled and disappeared.
We heard rustling
in the woods and heard distant growls in the woods which was enough to
make my friend run back as me and my girlfriend followed. To this day I
tell people all these stories if this creature gets brought up or if I
need a conversation starter.

have seen this creature and it seems to only come out from the times of
1-4 am when the public is not out.
I have stated which box is what on
the picture. Sorry if its not the best just a general area. Also the picture of the rake is not mine, its just pretty much identical to what I
saw.

Honestly the Rake sounds like a large, social version of the Dover Demon.
