Bigfoot Encounter in Columbiana County

I got the following report in a few days ago and wanted to share it. This took place in the state of Ohio. Ohio is home to numerous sighting reports. As you will read in the report, these folks were at the campground for a ghost hunt and not to look for Bigfoot. Sometimes Bigfoot finds you.

Nearest Town: East Liverpool

Length of Sighting: No sighting just smell, growl, wood knock VERY CLOSE, and later footprints.

How many Witnesses: 1 for encounter and 7 for tracks

Any Photos/Videos: Will see if my buddy has any still.

Describe sighting in detail: 

Went on a group ghost hunt with a LOT of people. We had gone to this site previously and one guy there swore bigfoot lived in the woods. We honestly laughed at him. Fast forward to the morning of my second time there and I had to use the restroom really bad. Did not feel like hiking to the entrance when there were plenty of trees to water just a few feet from me. We had rented out the group campground for the weekend. As I am standing there "watering the tree" It sounded like something was just a few feet from me. It let out a low growl, banged what sounded like was a good-sized stick on a tree, and there was an awful smell. At the time I thought maybe it was a bear but when I went back down the hill to camp I told Eric. He said maybe it was bigfoot and laughed. 

As the morning continued on word spread as people were waking up. We had all heard tree knocking the night before, but I still did not believe in Bigfoot. Some of the others there were trying to convince me that I had encountered one (During the event, I never looked up as I did not want to make eye contact with a bear). 

After lunch that day, people asked me to show them where it had taken place. I walked a group of about seven of us to the location just outside of view from the campsite (there were a lot of trees out with leaves but was not far at all from the camp). We all decided to investigate and even though I did not believe I thought what the heck. Nothing else to do in the daytime.

We walked what seemed like forever and my friend, who I had gone with, had run ahead. All of a sudden we heard him yell "PAUL!" I got up and continued up the hill. There was Eric standing right next to the biggest footprint I had ever seen in my life. There were several of them. Bark had been ripped off the trees in the area and we even found a little hut (later I learned that it is believed that they make these things as shelter). 

We spent the rest of the day searching the area and found a lot of out of place items up there. This was NOT on a trail or even near one. It's not like there would be people going up into this area while hiking. It was way off the beaten path. If you are facing the hill from the campsite it was on the left side but the way things grew up in there we went up the left across to the right, and back over to the left to get to the location. It took us quite far from camp. We did not return to camp until almost dark.

Thanks goes to Paul for sharing the encounter with all of us. The report has many known Bigfoot indicators. Tree knocks are often report, finding foot prints is very common and some witnesses report a foul odor. There are even some report of people hearing growls. 

As for the pictures of the tracks, Paul is reaching out to his friend to see if he still has them. If we can obtain the photos, I will add them to the report.
