Still frame from video |
Before I give my overall opinion of the video let me fill you in on the back story.
Apparently the little girl in the video had been complaining to her father about something scaring her. So the father sets up several security cameras throughout the house. The video presented below is reportedly what was captured.
Now, before we go one lets watch the video.
The idea of poltergeist or ghost being around children is nothing new. There are numerous reports of ghost interacting with young kids. Some believe this ghost energy is drawn to the innocence and energy of young children. So I'm not questioning the possibility that it happens but does this video show it happening?
One of the first things about this video that is important is the resolution of the upload. It is only at 240p, which is very low. It should be noted that this is not uncommon for cheap security cameras. In fact many of them have this low resolution. So, that in itself does not really lean towards this being a hoax.
One thing that does lean to it being a hoax is found in the first short clip. The clip with the doll head moving. If you will notice the movement is very choppy but the kid playing is smooth. This could indicate it was some type of stop motion editing, but that could be difficult to edit into the clip. The frame rate of the girl and the surrounding items appear smooth, while the doll head movement appears choppy and of a low frame rate. This alone could point to a hoax, even thought it becomes smooth after the initial movement of the doll head. Also with the low resolution it would be easier to conceal any string or wire that might have been used.
In the second clip there could be a wind source. It appears that the curtain in the background starts to move just before and during the paper flying off the table. But this sequence is much smoother than the first short clip. As for the other things flying and moving, it could be done with strings or wires.
My brief and simple attempt at pointing out and explaining how this might have been done is inconclusive at best. Knowing this I thought I would scope out the youtube channel of the person who posted it up. Sadly that did not provide any more clues. Much of the information on the channel is not filled out. There are various "shock" videos of fights and other videos. Apparently the uploaded is not the original source of the video.
If the video of the activity is real, I hope someone checks out the house and they post more videos.
So, in the end you will have to make up your own mind as to whether this video is real or a fake. I personally think it is probably a hoax. I would be interested in hearing what others have to say about the video. Do you think it is real? Do you think it is fake?
Thanks

Nobody who wasn't there could say if it is real or fake. I know from personal experience, though, that "poltergeist" activity is real.
ReplyDeleteYes, poltergeist activity is real ...just not sure about this video. Thanks for the comment.
