I recently got in a couple of reports dealing with the phenomenon of shadow people. A shadow person is also sometimes called a shadow figure, shadow being or black mass. It is sometimes even referred to as Hat Man as sometimes these figures appear to be wearing a hat.

The perception is that these black masses are a living, humanoid figure and is thought to be evidence of the presence of a spirit or other entity.

Before I get to the witness report, I think it is important to share a little more information about shadow people.

In the paranormal and supernatural arena shadow people are sometimes described as being menacing and dangerous. Then on the other hand some people believe that shadow people are helpful, or neutral, and some even speculate that shadow people may be the extra-dimensional inhabitants of another universe. Some say they are omens of something bad to come. There is also the thought that shadow people are actually a race of beings that have been here from the beginning and that they are not of human origins. So, as you can see, there are many and varying opinions about shadow people.

Shadow people are sometimes seen and described as having red or yellow glowing eyes. These types are normally associated with being evil or demonic entities.

These shadow people can be in a mist type form or in a more solid form. There have been reports of shadow people sightings all over the world and for hundreds of years.

With all of that said I want to share a report submitted by a person I will only call Abe.
Here is the report in Abe's on words.

"Shadow people have been with me for a lot of my life to be honest, I'm not a psychic or anything, I'm pretty skeptical on that front. My earliest sighting is seeing one at a park when I was about 10 or something, It was walking on a little island with a moat surrounding it which used to have a manor on it but it was knocked down due to the cost of upkeep or something.

The shadow person vanished when it reached one of the bridges on the moat.

Another time is seeing one walk by a tree line and just vanish when it reached the end. A curious note, this sighting was after someone (I think a teen girl) had unfortunately committed suicide within a grove behind the treeline I saw the shadow walk in front of. The park is called Perry Hall Park and is in the middle off a city called Birmingham.

Other sightings include one where I woke up in the middle of the night and saw one run across my room from my door to the wall connecting to our neighbors, one thing about this one was that it had orange/yellow eyes, kinda like the colour fire and it looked at me while it ran and I've never seen it again. This could be hallucinations during sleep paralysis though even though I've never had it before or since. 
I have one repeated sighting which kinda is a shadow person, It was a woman wearing a dress in a Victorian style of dress, the wide bottom, tight top, it was very frilly. Whenever I saw her, something broke soon after, the first time I saw her, my mug smashed when I simply placed it down on a table, I was about 13 and had noodle arms, Maybe I went a bit hard but something like that had never happened before. 

The second and last time I saw her, our computer broke, it just died when my dad was playing some game on it, I think it was Runescape and it never turned back on and these happened within a few weeks of each other.

My last sighting and most recent was during this summer just before august, I don't remember the exact date, but the time was ok, It was about 21:30 and I was sitting where I am right now writing this and opposite me is another armchair and I was alone in the room, everyone was upstairs doing stuff and I looked over my laptop while getting comfortable and just shuffling around a bit and I saw a shadow sitting in the chair, I stared at it for a good 30 seconds and it was just gone, it sorta faded before my eyes, maybe it was the light playing tricks on my eyes and my own position although the chairs are at different angles.

Thanks for reading my stories, It's nice to get them out there and just share with someone without the fear of too much judgement although criticism and different explanations would be nice and I'd like to think that strange shadow people aren't living in my house but if they are, that's ok because they seem to just be living life like everyone else who is like you and me."
