Mysteries Unlimited - Bigfoot Stick Formations (Ep.1)

Last night was our very first show for our new series, Mysteries Unlimited. Other than a few minor bumps the show turned out pretty well. One thing that will happen with future episodes is the wait time for the actual show to start will be much less. I set it longer for this show to accommodate learning more about how the software and stream worked.

In this episode, Leo Frank and I talk about the many stick formations we have found over the years. We have many pictures to share of these formations. We go into detail about the formations and discuss why we think they were made by Bigfoot.

Here is the show, for those who did not tune in live. (Please note that I cut out the long wait in the video below.)

Is Urban Bigfoot In My Midst?
By Dorraine Fisher

Many who are new to the subject of Bigfoot may believe they only live in the vast wilderness areas of North America. But nearly eight years ago now, I wrote an article suggesting that sasquatches may be able to live in areas that might be considered urban. It wasn’t a completely new idea then, but it wasn’t widely accepted. Now, a lot of time has passed and evidence of urban bigfoot is turning up in many places never expected.

My state of Illinois is not well-known for its wilderness areas, but there is a lot of evidence along the many rivers, wetlands, and other watershed areas. Illinois has a lot of rivers, woods, and the deer believed to be Bigfoot’s main food source.  And many of these areas are very close to the city limits. And, according to countless bigfoot investigators, they are sometimes inside the city limits.

The wife and I managed to get out in the  mountains yesterday. Our goals were to exchange out some game cameras, get in some much needed outside time, and to scout around for signs of bigfoot.

It was a great day to be out and the temperatures were good for hiking the mountains. We got the game cameras replaced and continued to explore the area. I hope to share some of the videos from the game cams in the coming days.

While we explored the area we did find a few interesting things.

Amazing Structures Created By Bigfoot!

Examining The Artful Structures Found By Southern Ontario Sasquatch

By Dorraine Fisher

Sasquatches are known to work with stick formations. They are believed to be landmarks, territorial markers, and sometimes possible shelters. They range from simple formations of branches being woven into each other all the way to some impressive, almost artistic structures. And no one knows this better than LeeAnn Carnegie, bigfoot researcher and founder of Southern Ontario Sasquatch. LeeAnn has found vast numbers of amazing structures and kept careful photographic and video records of her findings in her area of protected forest. And she has a spiritual and philosophical approach to her research.

Mountain Time - Another Stick Formation

I filmed several videos over the summer and fall, many of which were for Almost Live Season 2. But there are a handful of videos that didn't make the cut, but still have some good stuff in them.
So, today I condensed one of the videos into a short Youtube video. This was actually filmed on or around September 29 of 2018.

I was out digging ginseng and looking for Bigfoot evidence. This was in an area I was very familiar with and one where I had found numerous signs of Bigfoot. This was after several days of rain and the going was slick and dangerous.

Here is the short video.

More Strange Activity And Possible Tracks Found In Illinois
By Dorraine Fisher

Last week, I reported a some strange goings on in one of my woodland areas. And as I was investigating the weird structures I found, I thought I might have spotted a black head peeking up over some tall weeds in the distance when I was driving through. And I searched a major portion of the area in question to see if I could find any footprints, but the ground was so solid and dry that nothing could be found.

But in the meantime, the rains came. And the hard clay of the area turned to mud. And it was then I knew I needed to go back out and look around again. I had cruised through there briefly in the middle of the week before the rain and hiked a short distance only to find another structure that I hadn’t seen before. And I planned to return on the weekend. And when I did, this is what I found.

It’s an arch of sorts made from trees that could not have been broken off and stuck into place by a human. The branches were much too large.

Almost Live | More Bigfoot Stuff | S1E4

Well, today was another fine adventure. I was able to return to the area where I recently found a couple of bigfoot structures. I really couldn't wait to get back into that area and check it out more. I had also found some pretty good ginseng in that area, so it was a double win that day.  Today did not disappoint at all. I was able to find several other bigfoot-related things. If you want to actually learn about some of the behavior patterns of bigfoot, you really need to watch this episode of Almost Live and the previous episode. They are packed with findings of bigfoot behavior.
For me on a personal level, it is exciting to find all these structures. I like learning and finding new things.

Here is the episode, hope you enjoy it.

Almost Live | Amazing Discoveries | S1E3

Welcome to Episode 3 of Almost Live. My original thinking was that this would be a slightly shorter episode than the last, but it actually turned out to be a little longer. Today was very good and it has got me a little excited. I make several interesting discoveries and find some pretty good ginseng. Sometimes as a bigfoot researcher, you get in a lull and need to find some stuff to re-energize your battery. Today was one of those days for me, even though I have been finding things, today was a day that really uplifted me.

Here is the episode I hope you enjoy the video, it is a bit long but stay with it.

Still Frame from the video.
For many of us the idea of a bigfoot type of creature existing in Australia is not a very big leap. I know that bigfoot is very much a real creature here in North America, so I find it very plausible that the Yowie is also a real creature.

The Yowie is hominid that is said to live in the Australian wilderness. It is often compared to bigfoot, sasquatch and yeti. The Yowie is often described as being hairy, standing upright, and reaching heights of 6 foot to 12 foot tall. It is said to have a large flat type of nose and large feet. Reports about the yowies behavior ranges from timid and shy to very aggressive. Again, this is something we hear very often about bigfoot behavior.

The possible game camera footage of a Yowie was taken in the Forest Queensland Australia. The south east region of Queensland has had more reported sightings of Yowie than anywhere else in Australia. While many seem to always discredit or ignore sightings report, it should be noted that a former Queensland senator,Bill O'Chee, reported about seeing a Yowie while on a school trip to Springbrook.

Michael Cook and Thomas Marcum

Today's bigfoot seminar in Harlan county Kentucky was nothing short of fantastic! The event had a wonderful turn out and the room was packed. The event was organized by Michael Cook who is a Harlan native. Mr. Cook invited me to take part in the event and we both gave presentations on bigfoot and the evidence we have collected over the years. Participants also shared some of their stories and ask questions during and after the presentations.

Thursday, September 8, 2016

The only way I can tell this possible event is to back up a few days and fill in some gaps. First, it is ginseng season and that puts me in the woods several times a week. Often times, I'm in very remote areas. Areas that you can only reach if you walk for a few hours. So, a few days ago I was in an area, an area where I have been many times and didn't really feel as if there were bigfoot in it. I do know there are bigfoot in the general area but I didn't feel like there was any on this particular area of the mountain. I had never really seen any thing that would make me think that bigfoot was in this particular spot.

Found in Oregon.

Oregon Research Update  - Stick Formations

Recently, Crypto Crew team members Bobby and Corinna Long were sent some interesting photos by Mitch.(Last name withheld) These are from their home state of Oregon and near them. The photos shows several unusual tree/stick formations. The above photograph is very similar to a formation I found in my home state of Kentucky. Here is a photo from the Kentucky formation. Both of these similar structures were found in areas with bigfoot activity.

Found in KY
There is a general consensus that bigfoot does do odd things with sticks. This would include tree breaks, teepees and other formations.

But that was not all the Oregon researcher found. Here are a could more photos.

Found in Oregon.
An "X" was found. There is some differing opinions on what an "X" may represent. Some think it is a welcome sign, while others conclude that it is a warning to stay away. It may not be for humans at all and it may be only meaningful to bigfoot, for all we know. The discovery of an  "X" formation is reported by many researchers. It often is found after some type of bigfoot report. I have personally found several of these formations. Most of the time the tree limbs have been broken off from another location and the "X" formed in a different place.

Found in Oregon.

Arches and tree bends found in same general area in Oregon. Now, we all know that weather can have this type of effect sometimes and it takes careful analysis to make a determination. Sometimes, we have to take into account if other odd formations have been found in the area and if there is a history of bigfoot sightings. Similar structures are often reported by bigfoot researcher from all parts of the United States. It is interesting and needs more study.

This is just some of the things us researchers have to keep and eye out for while in the forest. As a person who goes into the woods often, I find it odd that I mostly find odd stick formations in areas where there are reported bigfoot activity. That makes it easy to conclude that bigfoot might be doing these formations. While we may not understand what they mean, it appears to be part of bigfoot behavior.

The Oregon team has been somewhat limited by the fact it is fire season. During fire season some access is cut off and some areas you are not allowed to be in.

Thanks goes to Mitch for sharing his photos.

My Crypto World - Bigfoot Behavior

Welcome to episode 8 of My Crypto World. In this episode, I talk about some of the behaviors of bigfoot, such as stick formations. Many want to discredit these types of findings but I don't think we should dismiss them so quickly.

Here is the episode.

 Bigfoot: Sticks and Trees

I guess it is an old topic and one that has been debated for a long time, but some just seem too eager to dismiss stick formations and tree breaks. They normally want to conclude that it was done by the weather, wind or some other natural occurring phenomenon, without ever hearing the back story. While I do totally understand the skepticism concerning stick formations and tree breaks, we do not need to be in a big rush to conclude all are caused by something natural.

Of course, weather can cause some weird tree bends and breaks, specifically heavy snow. Heavy snow is not as apt to happen in my part of the world ...but it does happen sometime. We probably have all seen how strong wind can really mess up trees. But in the end, a main factor concerning tree formations or breaks should be the back story, if it has one.

Bigfoot Stick Evidence

The following is just a small sample of some of the possible Bigfoot stick formations and tree breaks that have been collected and documented by team members of  The Crypto Crew. Please keep in mind that most of these were documented in areas after a sighting had taken place or in an area where there is Bigfoot activity. Often times these were found in remote areas. This is from several different states.

Yes, of course not every broken tree limb was done by Bigfoot. There have been several times when I personally found Bigfoot tracks under or very close to freshly broken tree limbs.

I have tried to keep the video kind of short. I hope you enjoy it.

Strange Formations In The Woods
Human Activity or Juvenile Bigfoot?
By Dorraine Fisher

In my early hiking days, I saw a lot of things in the woods that I ignored. And with all the new information we have now and all the advances in Bigfoot research since then, I’ve been forced to possibly kick myself for not paying closer attention.

It’s become obvious in the past few years that bigfoot activity can be so humanlike that it may often be mistaken for human activity. Stick structures were a good example of this. That is until we realized these structures were more complicated and some took a lot of physical strength to construct. And now, stick structures are among our most important clues of area activity.

But are there other humanlike but less obvious clues to consider?

I believe so. Years ago, on one of my hikes in a secluded area in Illinois, I came across railroad tracks. And on those tracks, small rocks had been placed on one of the tracks, and the formation continued for about 10 feet. The rocks were very neat and orderly in their placement. And I simply dismissed this find as something done by children. I didn’t bother to take any pictures, and I never gave it another thought until recently when a researcher in Louisiana showed me a picture she had taken in her research area.

Cynthia Tarver, a researcher from Florien, Louisiana, does some of her work there in Kisatchie National Forest. And she showed me this picture she took in a remote area of Kisatchie back in December of 2013. It’s a picture of pine cones that had been strategically lined up in a formation around a tree. She almost dismissed it, thinking it was made my human children, but it was interesting enough that she snapped a picture anyway. Could this have been created by bigfoot; perhaps even a juvenile that, in being an advanced primate, might behave and occupy its time the same way a human child might behave out in the woods. I have to wonder.
(Close up of pine cones, full picture at top of page)

I might have dismissed this too, but it’s in a remote area of the national forest and Cynthia has found footprints and other evidence of bigfoot activity near there.

Tracks and some type of shelter were found.
So maybe we need to be more careful about what we dismiss as human behavior, and whenever we find something curious like this, we need to be sure and check for other evidence in the area…of humans or other primates.

My “rocks on the railroad tracks” formation happened to be in perfect bigfoot habitat, teeming with deer and nourished by a spring-fed creek. And incidentally, it was near an area where a couple of bigfoot sightings took place a while later. But I wasn’t informed enough then and I missed my chance. Luckily, Cynthia Tarver didn’t.

So, maybe we need to pay more attention and not be so quick to dismiss a lot of things we find out there. Not that we should determine every humanlike activity to be Bigfoot activity, but instead, keep our minds open and check for other evidence of bigfoot in the area.

So, what do you think? Have you seen similar things in the woods? Did you dismiss it as human-made?

How far does Bigfoot travel?

I know that may seem like a stupid question but for many years now the fish and wildlife people have been using tracking collars on various wildlife to determine how far certain animals travel. Of course, there could be many factors as to the distance any animal would travel. Factors such as viable food sources, seasons, other animal populations in the area and the sex of the animal. Most studies have come to the conclusion that male animals tend to travel much greater distances than females of the same species.

For example, lets look at black bears as they are often compared to Bigfoot in terms of areas that can support possible Bigfoot. Normally, the train of thought is that if an area can support an animal as large as a bear, it could possibly support something as large as a Bigfoot. With that said, an area with ample food sources for black bear can typically still have male black bears roaming anywhere from 8 to 60 square miles. Female black bears in the same area would roam about 2 to 15 square miles. In some cases of poor habit areas, black bears have been known to roam up to 100 square miles. The key for black bears, or all animals, is tied to habitat.

But what about Bigfoot? While we of course can not come up with a rock solid conclusion, we can get some general information that might help us. In my state of Kentucky and the more southern states, the winters are normally not extreme enough to warrant migration. Some theories state that Bigfoot migrate, before winter hits, into warmer areas. This could be true but it might only apply to areas that have hard winters.

Most of us are working under the premise that Bigfoot builds shelters and/or lives in some type of cave. In other words, they have a home. So, if they normally have a home then one can assume they have a good habitat area. Which means they might not need to roam great distances. Could this help explain why Bigfoot sighting are sometimes clustered close together? How about the claims of Bigfoot habituators? They say they have years and years of seeing and sometimes interacting with the same group of Bigfoot. If they are seeing them on a regular basis and in the same area, then they must not be roaming too far away.

Now, this brings me to a couple areas here locally that have Bigfoot in them. They seem to be in these area very often. Does that possibly mean that their "home" is fairly close by?  At times, they seem to be not coming to the area, but on the other hand I have found evidence of them being there at various times all through the year. One area in particular seems to have them in it very often. It is rare to make 3 or 4 trips in this area over a couple months period and not find some type of evidence. It boils down to being in there at the right time.

So, if an area has reoccurring Bigfoot activity could that mean they have a "home" near by? If the answer is yes, which I think it could be, then finding the "home" would be the next step. That next step of course could be dangerous. It could also be very hard to find. There are theories that Bigfoot disguise entrance ways to their "homes" in a way to make them blend in. Such as covering them with dead tree limbs or fallen trees.

I guess the mystery is getting to me. I mean, if I see a black bear in the same general area for months or years, then it is safe to assume that the bear is living in a den somewhere close by. So, I think this can probably apply to most Bigfoot in areas where activity keeps occurring. It seems a little far fetched to think a Bigfoot is traveling 100 miles every few days to visit an area. But it makes more sense to think a Bigfoot is staying near by, I'm speaking of course of areas that have repeat sightings and activity.

There are many factors that could cause Bigfoot to travel out of their normal area. Maybe it is breeding or to find a mate that causes them to go greater distances. Maybe the habitat had an off year and the food supply is not sufficient and they have to move on. Or maybe it is man's fault, as we continue to develop land and cut away forest land. In our area, which is very mountainous, we have coal mines and strip mines that seems to temporarily drive out wildlife, but it tends to move back in over time.

If we can get some better track castings, ones with more dermal ridges, we might be able to match castings to a particular Bigfoot. This could give us a better idea of travel areas. If, for example, I was able to get a good clear track casting and someone 10 miles away got one and we were able to match and confirm it to be made by the same creature. Then we would have an idea of distance traveled.

If, we can get a little more data about the distance a Bigfoot travels then we might be able to narrow down our search area and in the end get better results.

I would be interested in hearing what some of you researchers have to say about Bigfoot and how far they travel.

Thanks
~Tom~

Bigfoot Field Research 6/15/15 - Teaching

I know many of you who have been doing Bigfoot research for years probably already know this information. But I wanted to share a little bit of what I have found to be consistent when searching for Bigfoot evidence.

Please keep in mind that some of this occurs naturally and it takes time to learn what might be natural and what might be done by Bigfoot. The time I spent logging helped me a lot. It's just funny to me that I find this over and over in areas where there have been Bigfoot sightings.

Of course, everyone should come to their own conclusions but the next time you are in a known Bigfoot area keep your eyes out for some of this stuff.

Here is the short video, followed by some photos of my findings.
