Bigfoot or Mudfoot?
By now, most of you have probably seen these couple of images floating around on social media and in various Bigfoot groups.
The original story and images were posted in Bigfoot groups, and the story went something like this:
"A friend of mine in Louisiana was hanging deer stands two days ago ...Louisiana has a low black bear population - under 1000 in the entire state. The head and front shoulders do not look like a bear to me. It sure looks odd standing as he first started to photos - Thoughts?"
Del Norte Bigfoot Sighting, California - 1995
In 1995 two teenage boys appear to have captured a sasquatch on film. If they ever shared the footage to the internet, it is lost in the debris of the information flood.
In November 2012, the video was shared to YouTube on two different channels.
HuntForBigfoot posted the footage with a script crediting the sighting to two teenage boys: Daniel Fearing [age 17] and Michael Troup [age 15]. It also lists the encounter as being in 2005. Most sources mention it being in 1995. It is also sometimes known as The Fering Film.

Huge Bigfoot Seen Near White River
Yesterday, I shared two historic Bigfoot stories from our friend Tammy. Well, today I want to share Tammy's own personal sighting that took place near the White River Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas. The White River National wildlife refuge is a 160,756 acres wildlife refuge located in Desha, Monroe, Phillips, and Arkansas counties in the U.S. state of Arkansas.
This refuge has the largest concentration of wintering mallard ducks in the Mississippi Flyway. It also has large concentrations of snow and Canada geese. This refuge is home to four active bald eagle nests and a black bear population. And it is a perfect place to such a critter as Bigfoot.
Here is Tammy's sighting, in her own words.
Alex:
Although I have always had a fascination with Sasquatch, I never
thought of drawing one in the past. Things changed after I was
diagnosed with breast cancer in '08. After that, I decided to make a
list of things I would like to do within my means and capabilities of
it actually happening, lol. At the top of my list was to see a
sasquatch. Now that I knew they were not only in the Pacific
Northwest, I felt it was a good possibility but I had to learn more
about local sightings etc. I joined the wonderful Oregon Bigfoot, run
by Autumn Williams, and began a new chapter. It wasn't long before
someone suggested I draw what an eyewitness saw and I began working
with the witness to get what they saw down on paper. I have done
quite a few drawings from then on.
Alex:
Being a wildlife artist has led me to love many animals throughout my
life. I have always loved Africa. I love the vast expanse where
animals do what animals do best. It is the cradle of life for us
humans too. Canids are of particular interest. I became a dog trainer
in Search and Rescue for many years, working with K9 partners in
searching both wilderness and disaster sites. Wolves are an extension
of my love of dogs and my love of the natural places. Being at the
top of the food chain, wolves sit in a unique position in the
ecosystem where they are a necessary and integral part of everything
in that environment. I participate in education about wolves and
hopefully show how wonderful and important they are to all of us.
Alex:
Whatever one I am currently doing, I guess! Right now I am sculpting
animals and soon, cryptids. So right now I'm excited about 3D work
again. I love drawing in pencil too, as it's very close to 'nothing',
just graphite and paper and yet, can portray so much. Then there is
clay, carving in foam and oil painting on canvas, where each has its
unique properties. I doubt I will ever have a favorite because, like
animals, each is cool in its own way and there is always a new medium
to explore and learn from!
