El Chupacabra - The Goat Sucker

This creature has a confused and troubled timeline and history. Explanations range from misidentifications  to invented stories, to regular animals with mange, to urban legend and to myth.

The first attack by a Chupacabra is said to be in March 1995 when 8 sheep were found dead in Puerto Rico. Each body had three puncture wounds in the chest area and were said to be drained of blood. More stories came from the mountain region of Morovis and Orocovis. Chickens, sheep and goats were being found dead in their pens and enclosures, drained of blood with deep puncture wounds to the neck or chest. Nightly search parties of at least 200 men went out in search of the culprit(s) and to guard the animals. Nothing was found.

Why Most Chupacabra Sightings Are Fake?

By Dorraine Fisher

Of all the cryptids believed to exist on the planet, you might be surprised by which one I find to be the least likely to exist. At least by the definition of this cryptid that people think they’ve seen. And this is the fabled chupacabra or goat sucker believed to be responsible for brutal, bloody livestock attacks and mutilations. But I’ll tell you why I feel this way.

In many cases of supposed sightings, witnesses see or photograph a creature that is hairless, gray or black, and doesn’t look to them like any known animal. But disease and deformity can cause any creature to appear different than it normally would.

Remains of something

I was zooming around the internet and ran across this story of some remains being found in Chile. The story basically says that these remains are from a couple young Chupacabras, also known as Goat suckers. The remains were found by a farmer. They where found on top of some stacks of hay.

Some people at first thought the almost mummified remains were of bats but upon closer inspection this was ruled out.

No size was given of the creatures but they appear to be rather small to me. They have sharp looking teeth and claws and I'm guessing that is why they assumed this could be what was left of a couple young Chupacabaras.

Here is a close up of the skull of one of the creatures.
Skull of unknown creature.
So what to you think it could be? I personally, as someone else mentioned, think it might be baby kittens that where abandoned by their mother and just died. The heat from being in a barn or other enclosure caused them to dry out and become mummified.

Thanks
~Tom~

what is it?
Chupacabra or Raccoon

"This video of a strange creature has been circulating in wildlife and cryptozoology circles this week. Many are touting it as the elusive creature known as the chupacabra, Texas blue dog, or goat sucker reported in the southern US and Mexico. Or could it just be a fox or raccoon with mange? Animals with mange are often hard to identify without their hair and they're often reported to authorities as chupacabras. And this seems to happen more often in the warm southern states where animals with mange could more likely survive the winter without their hair. So what is this animal really?

The animal expert in the video claims it's some kind of canine, but it's feet don't quite fit that profile. It's feet strongly resemble that of a raccoon and it uses them like hands just like a raccoon. So it's quite possibly a raccoon with mange. But the sound it makes isn't like that of a raccoon. It's more of a growl, though a sick animal might make strange sounds. So the jury's still out. What do you think this animal is?"

The Goat Sucker Strikes again!

Looks like the Chupacabra is back on a killing spree in Mexico were 97 sheep were found dead. The sheep were found in the California Alta province of Mexico. According to the report all the sheep that was found dead on the ranch had three puncture wounds in their chest and all were drained of blood.

Over the last two years, alleged chupacabra attacks have multiplied in Mexico, with over 12,000 animals dead and most were drained of blood.

I must say the website in which this report comes from has some very questionable content but you can make up your own mind by clicking the link above.

Chupacabra Killed in Mississippi
Chupacabra - Goat Sucker
Could the Chupacabra be just a mangy dog or coyote? or could it be it's own breed?
A Lena, Mississippi man is confident that the hairless, red-eyed animal he killed in his hay barn yesterday is a Chupacabra — and he has the carcass to prove it. (Source: Outdoorlife )

The legend of El Chupacabra has been around for years, with many possible killings and filming's.
What do you think it is?

Thanks

Chupacabras had fangs, claws and wings.

Did a legendary chupacabras kill 35 sheep in the Mexican town of Paracuaro? That's what local citizens want to know as they ponder the mysterious deaths of their farm animals.
According to the UFO Chronicles website, the Mexican state Michoacan's Diario ABC reported that the unfortunate sheep were slain in the wee hours of March 1 with their bodies displaying claw and tooth injuries, especially under the neck.
One man who was looking after the sheep in their pens said he saw the creature responsible for the attacks. He reportedly said it had fangs, claws and wings.
The enclosure where the sheep lived also included cows, horses and pigs, which apparently weren't injured in the attack.
TCC -  I think this is the first Winged Chupacabra report...at least in 2012. I wonder if this is something new or just some kind of misidentification.
