land firefighter and a published photographer, and poet.Regardless of how you feel about Rick Dyer, one can not over look the fact he is a master at getting media attention, stirring up strong reactions from people and growing a group of followers. Some love him, some hate him but almost all from both groups follow him and keep up with his story.
This whole story started around a year or so ago with the famous tent video and then a claim by Dyer of killing the bigfoot seen in said tent video. Now the body of the dead bigfoot is being presented by Dyer and according to him a tour will be conducted across the country.
The bigfoot community has been in a uproar over the released photos of the dead bigfoot photos. Many, including me, believe this is nothing more that a hoax but still Dyer has a handful, if not more, of supporters who are claiming this is a real dead bigfoot. Some are now even claiming Dyer actually killed two bigfoots and that this is why the released pictures do not look like the bigfoot in the tent video or the one in the documentary film Shooting Bigfoot.
Rick Dyer can take what comes his way, he's been through this type of thing before and on many fronts he seems to enjoy the battle and all the attention that comes with it. But I wonder about the other people who are still supporting him, what will it do to their reputations? I know from experience that peoples reps will take a hit. Let me explain a little. I, along with a couple other people, were the first to break the dead bigfoot story, all I was doing was getting the info and passing it along. Yet I was accused of being "in on a hoax" and to this day many point a finger at me as if I was on the inside, and I wasn't. Some went as far to slam me on numerous forums and facebook pages but that had very little, if anything, to do with me not posting about the story. Once the story and details started changing about the dead bigfoot, I suspected it was all a hoax, so I basically stopped covering it. Now, what about those who are still in this and supporting the story? Will it damage their reps? I say it will, can they ever get it back? I don't know. For some I guess reputation does not matter. What about the people who made the documentary film, Shooting Bigfoot? Has it affected their reputations, if so could it cause them to lose work? Maybe. Of course this is all speculation and many don't care about reputation as long as the money flows.

According to Dyer, there are numerous documents coming to confirm that his is a real dead bigfoot. That doctors have and will be allowed to examine the dead bigfoot. Dyer also said a big press conference is coming.
While for many this story it basically over and filed away as a hoax, there still seems to be lots of life left in it with the media and on the internet. The dead bigfoot topic is still running strong amongst the bigfoot community and that is a testament to the attention that Dyer can create. So I guess everyone should just hold on as it appears the ride is not over yet and knowing Dyer's history I'm guessing he has something up his sleeve to keep it going.

Personal message to Rick Dyer (and Justin Smeja). There's a day of judgement coming to all of us when we will have to stand before God and give an account of our lives. How will you explain breaking the commandment "Do not murder?" I'd like to know. Maybe you don't believe in God. He exists but there's no body to view, examine; etc. Why would you kill,(supposedly kill), one of God's greatest creatures if you were not going to eat it? For fun? Poaching(Smeja)? Please explain to the world just how you(either of you) can get out of bed every day & function, knowing what you have allegedly done,(your claims, not mine). Sure, none of us are sin-free but to go out and kill a creature for fame & supposedly fortune is just wrong on so many fronts. Like I've said before, "Be glad I'm not God."
ReplyDeleteI found this link dated 1/5/2013 by a Robert Lindsay confirming Rick Dyer has a taxidermied Bigfoot. The only problem is that they are using the same picture as you have, which looks like a total fake. Does not even come close to the tent video BF or the Musky Allen drawing.

I call B.S. If the one on the right is supposed to be the same one that's on the left, then the make-up guys need to stick to bagging groceries. The one on the left looks more real & the one on the right looks like something out of the muppets, & a very poor rendition of that type puppet. Oh well, time will tell but for now I call B.S.
