"I heard this ungodly sound coming from the woods". In 1979, a family in Kinderhook, NY, began having strange encounters with unknown creatures. The Hallenbecks stated that over three years, there were several instances where they have been visited, virtually terrorized, by a creature they claim to be Bigfoot. Three generations had terrifying run-ins with a large, hairy beast in the woods around their home. "It just seemed like whatever this was, just kind of showed up here," stated Bruce Hallenbeck. Mysterious occurrences that all point to one outrageous explanation. "I didn't really expect that a Bigfoot-type creature would show up literally in my backyard," said Hallenbeck.

Interesting thoughts and theories can be formed when getting together with fellow researchers.

For example, in a recent get-together, someone ventured the comment about seeing a "new" face in their research area. It took a few seconds, then I noticed several others silently nod.

It seems that for some reason there appear to be more sasquatch in the research areas than before. Among the newcomers are females who appear to be pregnant and really young ones, even possibly newborns.

It was never called 'bigfoot' by any of the witnesses, denied by all but the witnesses, this creature terrorized Butler for one week back in 1978.

The story appears to start on July 8 around 11 pm, when two teens Eugene Kline and Ken O'Neil were walking along the railroad tracks. They heard a strange noise in the brush, an unusual growling sound. They both turned in that direction to see a 7-foot-tall creature with a large head and red eyes the size of golf balls. Ken turned and ran while Eugene stood frozen in place. After what seemed like minutes, he finally turned and ran after Ken. When they spoke to investigators later, neither could recall any details about the face, hair, hands, or feet.

In this day and age, everyone is trying to find novel ways of finding bigfoot.

They sing, they dance, they hoot, they howl, they play music, they blast calls, they play musical instruments, they even cook bacon.

They run through the woods and fields on ATVs and dirt bikes, they bang on trees with their special "bigfoot wood knockers", they rove through fields and forests on public and private lands with and without permission, all hoping to get the next "Patty film" or to be the next Matt Moneymaker. (Insert any other name you prefer)

Ronald Smith finished work and drove home like any other work day. He got home at around 12:20 a.m. and as usual, went out to feed his horse. And that's when the "usual" ended.

When he got out to the pasture, the horse wouldn't come to the fence. So he resigned himself to going into the pasture to feed him. That was when he heard something in the dark, walking on two legs through the snow. Knowing that only his horse should be out there, he concluded there were some kids up to mischief.

Much of the mountain is unoccupied, very isolated, and very mysterious. There have been many reports from this area of everything from UFOs to Ghosts to Black Panthers and yes, to Bigfoot.

We can't resist sharing more stories of bigfoot and water. This is an aspect of the creature that makes so much sense and many don't consider it. But then again, many do. These stories are for you.

Bob Titmus happened to be in the Butedale area of British Columbia bigfoot hunting by boat out of Klemtu when he heard about this alleged sighting in July 1965. The shore worker who reported the encounter enjoyed recreational fishing and was lucky enough to have his own outboard boat. His friend also had a boat and the two of them usually met and went out together. On this particular day, the friend wasn't able to leave as early as the shore worker, so they decided to each take their own boat and meet later.

The island is a large one that faces the mainland across a narrow channel of the inside passage. There is also a small island near the mainland shore in front of the village where the two men liked to fish on the far side of the small island.

There is a lot of talk in the community about faking videos of bigfoot by renting or buying a gorilla or monkey suit and parading around in front of a camera. Well, let's see what someone who tried such a stunt has to say about it.

To set the scene, The Memorial Day Footage was filmed back in May 1996 by the Pate family in the Paysaten Wilderness area, Washington state. A track star was brought in to run the route that the alleged bigfoot traveled. The track star was found to be both larger and faster than the creature in the original video. Many declared the film a hoax.

Stories of a bigfoot swimming intrigue me. Animals built like a gorilla don't look to be the aquatic type. So, I would have to echo John Green and say it's not reasonable to make up this type of creature and then put it in water.

So let's take a look at a few stories of bigfoot and water.

Sasquatch/bigfoot is referred to by several different names among the tribes comprising the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. But he is always considered to be a human being, members of their own species.
